Indian employee stole thousands of dirham gold from owner's jewelry shop

The accused had stolen two necklaces worth 18,000 dirhams by chance

Dubai police have arrested an Indian employee for theft. During the trial, the prosecutor accused the Indian employee of stealing two gold necklaces from a jewelery shop where he worked, totaling eighteen thousand dirhams. The 27-year-old Indian salesman performed the import on June 22, 2019.
The manager of the jewelry shop told the court that on the evening of the incident he suddenly realized that two gold necklaces were missing from the show case. After a great search this gold do not find it. When the security cameras were finally taken, it was discovered that the Indian employee had carried two necklaces in his pocket.


When we asked the employee, he first refused. But when he was severely talked about and a security camera video was shown, he had no choice but to admit his guilt.


When the employee was asked about the necklace, he said he had thrown both the precious necklace into the sea for fear of being caught after being stolen. Police were called immediately by the staff who took him to the Knife police station and lodged a theft case against him. After a police investigation, the suspect revealed that both necklaces were located at his residence. They were taken into custody by the police on the spot and handed over to the manager of the jewelery shop. The trial has been postponed until a later date, in which the suspect is likely to be sentenced to prison.
